Sometimes driving test waiting lists can be frustratingly long. But other candidates may change their minds about their tests at any time, and their test date will become available for the the first person who finds it.
You can search for alternative test dates free of charge on the government’s website. Your existing booking is only changed when you find a new one you like.

There are other websites and apps you can pay for that will automatically check earlier test dates for you. A quick Google search for “driving test cancellation checker” will bring up several services.
One example is "Driving Test Genie” who have offered my pupils a discount on their service.
Another is “Testi”, which some of my pupils tell me they have successfully used.
Of course please check that I am available for your new test date, and the new timescale is realistic when searching for a new one.
